Proud Wing Films is a production company based in Melbourne, Australia.

Founded in 2016, our work has been recognised by notable film festivals, including the Melbourne International Film Festival, SXSW Sydney and the St. Kilda Film Festival, to name a few. 

We make long and short form narrative film, episodic content, and documentaries. Blending comedy and drama, we love character driven storytelling that are provocative, inclusive, funny, sometimes heartbreaking, and always truthful.

Recently, our debut feature Cerulean Blue (Adrian Ortega) had its world premiere at MIFF ’68 (2019) and won the El Ray Award for Excellence in Film Direction at the Barcelona International Film Festival (2019). It is now available to stream Exclusively on Stan in Australia, and on Amazon Prime in the US and UK.

Additionally, we received an Honourable Mention: for Most Outstanding Emerging Female Director at the 30th Flickerfest International Short Film Festival (2021), awarded to Senie Priti for Alba (Senie Priti). Alba also screened at the St. Kilda Film Festival (2022) and the Melbourne Women in Film Festival (2022). Our latest short film, Clown (Aarushi Chowdhury), debuted at the first SXSW Sydney (2023).

Our second feature film, Westgate (Adrian Ortega), is currently in pre-production and set to film in 2024.
